Glorious sunny night for the practise session of the NW200, don't take bikes often so be easy on me.

Thanks for your kind remarks MREGAN, had a look at your shots, you were using 1/100 for panning, I would find that for me very difficult to get clear shots, I would start at 1/320 and if the wheels look stationary drop the speed till you got wheel blur, those bike were coming straight at me at 180MPH and wheel blur did not matter so I was up to 1/1000 to get sharp shots, the only down side I was hand holding a Sigma 120-300 which got very heavy after a few laps:(, good luck

Super shots Jim. Had we known where you were we'd have gone down. Roundabouts get a bit boring after a while. Looks much more exciting where you were.

Super shots! One day I want to witness this race. Was it 2 years ago in this race the racer who lost his life in practice (sorry it escapes me right now) gained validation by his son winning the race with a couple of wicked late braking attempts? Saw it on the internet since we don't have Eurosport,Skye, etc!

Robert Dunlop died in the same pratice session last year. His son Michael went on to win the 250cc race on Saturday less than 48 hrs after burying his father. Awesome stuff, but a fairtale ending to what was a very sad week.

That 5th shot is mental! Really amazing how the tyre smoke reacts and flows on a touch down.
