This is a picture I took of my friend Lissa yesterday. It was pretty grey outside, so I had to compensate a bit on her skin tone. Not that great of a shot, but I thought it was cute. :)

The girl is cute with a natural pose, and the shot has a lot going for it. The house in the background is a distraction, however.

I like the pose. Very natural.

I think the model is good, but the setup is wrong. Her pose is not flattering at all, and the lighting is too dark. I would use a tigher crop to get more detail in the upper body and face. I say use the tree but not hide behind it so much, a lean might be better.

Unflattering perspective. My eye is distracted to a "tummy and a house."

Dude:confused: ..... What kind of question is that. I mean you can think it if you like, but you don't have to post it:rolleyes: More than likely she is not "prego" I think it comes down to the pose mostly.

Maybe try being a bit more tactful the next time like J Rabin

Oh and BTW, I like it.... The house is a bit distracting though.... And try some different poses with her. I like her look, she just needs a more flattering pose

Along with what the others have said. She just forgot to suck in her tummy a bit thats all. I will add that the broken finger could have been hidden behind the tree. Try this; almost the same pose, but in front of the tree. Right hand reaching behind her head at about ear level touching the tree or grabbing the tree if it looks natural enough. Right leg lifted, knee bent, and foot on tree. A cute smile and bingo!

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll remember them for next time. :)

BTW - no, she's not "prego." She did (as some of you said) forget to suck in her belly. :) She's still adorable though. Hehe.

Here's another shot. We were just fooling around all day and I snapped a few shots. Nothing special. She's just too cute. Haha.

Not a great shot?!! Nikki, next time you are in your local bookshop, pick up a copy of Nylon Magazine, and see how your photo compares to the editorial fashion run in their pages.
I cringe when I use the term 'now', but this photo is very 'now'. It is exactly the type of image used in contemporary fashion.
If you can replicate this work on a regular basis, then you should be pursuing fashion photography....

Not bad, I like the second one you posted a lot more. Seems like you two were having fun doing that shoot. I think if you tried a little harder, and turned it into a real shoot with a selected background, outfit, lighting, ect, then I think you could do a very nice job. This is a good start though. Thanks for sharing! Keep up the good work.
