Hey guys. I'm planning on creating a website blog where i can store my photos and blog about it daily and such. But i don't know where to start. I'm pretty logical when it comes to this stuff but i just need a jump start since i know most of you photographers have some sort of website blog going on. Anyway, can any one help me out with some info or links? I'd appreciate it a lot.
Thank you!

Wordpress.org is where I host mine. You have to purchase your own hosting and domain name, but then you have all the freedom you want. You can then purchase plugins to help you design your site. I bought mine at prophotoblogs.com this made it super simple to design my site. I actually just use my blog as my portfolio site. Helped keep the costs of designing a flash site to host seperately.
Check my site out. (click on link below my signature)
I highly recomend prophotoblogs. I have no clue when it comes to web design, and I was able to create my site all on my own. Only took me about 8 hours.
Have fun.

Awesome! Thanks a lot for the guide. I'll see to it. Does any one know any other places i could visit? Just so i wouldn't have to narrow my options.

You can either create an account on a blog hosting site (such as wordpress.com) or you could buy a domain name and a hosting account (which can cost as little as $50 a year, or less) and then install a blog script (wordpress is availible for download to be installed on your own host also).
If you go the route of buying domain/hosting then you have total control over the site and can esentially do what ever you want with it.
I use www.hostgator.com for my web hosting, www.godaddy.com is also one of the bigger hosts but personally I find their management software to be pretty poor.
Hostgator use some software called "cPanel", this is your interface to your hosting account. cPanel has facilities for automatically installing scripts such as wordpress (and several other blogs), forum scripts, shopping cart systems etc. Which means you dont even need to learn how to install or set these things up because its all automated or you.
So which ever host you end up going with (there are thousands to chose from), I would suggest going for one which uses cPanel.

I run wordpress on my own server. As others have stated above, you can get a wordpress.com hosted blog.

Ohh okay, thanks a lot you two. So basically, i could start with a Wordpress and blog from there. Host it. Then from there, can i add a home page? About me. And etc etc?

Wordpress allows you to create static pages (which get added as links to the navigation bar, so good for "About Me" page etc) as well as adding blog-style posts which all appear on the same page.
So by tweaking the theme to your liking you can effectivly run an entire website with nothing but the wordpress blog script.
There are also plugins which will allow you to integrate gallery scripts (such as gallery2) into wordpress to make everything share the same look.

I use Blogger for mine, it's free, hosted for free, and it's easy to customize. I basically styled it to look like my SmugMug site:
