Well I finally got to process the full moon I shot last Sat night. It was taken with a 40D through a 2x barlow on my 100ed. 1/125sec, iso400.
Could only fit just over half the moon in the fov so it ended up being a total of 12 shots for each half, stacked in registax, levels adjusted in PS and stitched together using Canon's photostitch software.
Attached is a low res version and a higher res (4.5mb) is at:

Fantastic image, Cruiser. Excellent resolution, I can see some features that are not more than a few km across.

Again, why not try a shadow/highlights tool in Photoshop. It does make a difference.

Since Peerie commented, I'm going to weight back in on that topic.
This is one of the best low-magnification Moon images that has been posted on POTN in the year or so since I've been here. Now, I've posted a lot of pictures myself and I think I'm pretty skilled at this, but I would be proud to have generated this shot.
I downloaded the larger file so I could play with it; I enjoy the post-processing work a great deal. I agree with Peerie that there are various things you could do with this image to bring out certain aspects of the image, but at some point it becomes a matter of taste. Those of you who have followed my pictures know that I process for detail. This image, with it's minimal processing, is a pleasure to view just as it is, except that my neck is getting sore from holding my head upside-down to see the image right-side-up :D.
I think one thing this image does tell us is that you don't need a big expensive scope to get really crisp moon shots. A well-made 4" refractor is capable of doing a great job, and here's your proof.
So I agree with Peerie that there is more that could be done, but it's an outstanding shot as it.
