Had a shoot yesterday of ONJ in concert, I was amazed at how young she looked for being in 57. I was also suprised how great of a show she put on!

You know, funny you mention that... Out of about 5 photographers, she seemed to giving me all the looks. ( a few guys were even razzing me about it after the show) I had never shot someone looking into your glass like that, and I have to say it is a very unique experience..
Any one know what i am talking about? It probably was aplified by the fact that thousands of people were watching as well

Could this have had something to do with the size of your lens?
But seriously, this reminds me of a shot somebody took from the audience at a "Cheap Trick" concert where the lead singer was not only looking at the photographer from what appeared to be very close range, but pointing at Him/Her when the shot was taken. I cant remember the details, but it seems that the shot was highly publicized.

Nice work Eric. She is still looking good.
The next to last shot of the arena is really cool, and I certainly don't say that to imply that the others are bad. The shot of Mr. Barris brought back some old memories too.
Thanks for sharing those with us, she's a classy lady.

That's a nice series of shots. The silver suit is a highlight nightmare but you kept it under control pretty well. And thanks for the "venue" shot from the control booth. I think an overall shot of the whole concert is really important.

Incredible shots!
Perfect exposures and white balance looks fantastic! for concert lighting that is a real trick!
What was your "gear" if you don't mind telling us?

Thanks CDS!! Yes cincert photography really pushes me to my limits!! Most shows you only have 2 songs max to shoot down in front, so it gets really stressfull sometimes.. but that that does not kill you makes you better
I shot this concert with 20D, tamron 28-75, and EFS 10-22 (but I think all the ones posted here are with the tamron) most of the time I shoot concerts with manual exposure, the lights play REAL big tricks with meters, so i try to get a good "spot" meter of the flesh tones etc and go from there..
also the funy thing is that at this show I felt a little intimidated, because my gear was by far inferrior, 1ds's 1dmkII's and $$$$ in L arround me (and one N**on guy with about 10k in glass as well) I wish I could focus less on that..
