I bought my S3 IS from a local pawn shop for $59. It is in very good condition with just minimal scratches on the bottom of the camera. It came with a 2 GByte SD card and strap. There was nothing else with it, no cables, box, or anything like that. I already had a USB cable that fit, so no problems there.

I've been doing things as inexpensively as possible with this camera, and bought 4 Sony 2500 mAh Ni-MH batteries and charger from Factory Direct for around $14. I downloaded the manual from the web and applied the CDHK hack so I can now shoot in RAW (both for free). I then bought the AC adapter for the camera from eBay (I think this was around $10), and also a lens adapter and filter set (around $15).

So, all told, I now have around $100 total invested in the camera.

Hope this helps...
Al

About $50-$60, you can find cheaper price in ebay Sure, if it's non-functional.

Most of them that I've seen are selling for over $150 on ebay.
Al's suggestion of a local pawn shop is likely to be the most economical way to go.
