figure i'll try here...walking up the street to grab some groceries and was stopped by the train. i figured perfect. stopped way down, got a nice slow shutter, found my background, planted, setup and started tracking right to left. i got into a good flow before the train was gone and this is the one that stood out, mostly for the color...any thoughts...i think possibly a slower shutter next time

You're RIGHT! That WOULD be good practice.
Looks like you got some good pan shots of the moving train. :D

That's pretty cool... usually it's the train that's moving in a pic like this! Nice light and colours too.

-Bruce thanx bruce, you are right. as i was walking up and the arms started coming down i heard someone in a car curse through their window, i just laughed and started shooting. nothing like 10mins of solid panning, right to left...right to left. after a little while i got in a great groove and was pulling a bunch of solid shots one after the other. any of those motorsports shooters out there...here's you perfect practice session.

thanx for the comments guys, figured some here would appreciate this shot. i was initially bothered by the shadows on the left, but after looking at it for a while adds a little depth i think, almost makes the train car pop out just a bit for some reason, dunno.
