Met up with Dessie at Ballysally roundabout near Coleraine. Nice night and pleased with the outcome with the 120-300 Sigma.

Dozy this afternoon. Got home before 11pm then went through hundreds of pics and got to bed at 12:30 and up again at 6am. After seeing Jims pics I'm tempted to go again on Sat (only if Jim would show us where he was! please please)

If you meet me, I have one arm built like Popeye and the other like Oive Oil.
The 120-300 is a beast, but you get used to it. Its easier to operate from a stool when you can rest your elbows on your knees for a bit of relief.
I used the monopod last night for some stability, it works well for static head on shots, but I'm not a big fan of it for football where the ball is moving constantly. I like my arm movement unrestricted, but find the monopod interferes with that.
Nominal fee can be arranged if I manage to get there on Saturday.

I love number 1.
Me too, that shot is so nice. Everything about it, the tight framing, great detail, and the fantastic heat blur from the exhaust.

Great work again. Farquhar on his knee is a belter.

Four great shots but the first one really stands out for me, good the way you have got the angle and the heat haze, been watching the happenings on the BBC's website as my colleague is over there commentating for the BBC.

Cheers
