Does anyone know anything about these?
google didn't turn much up on it.

I was browsing my local thrift shop which has a decent electronics section and I happened upon a Canolite D.
I picked it up for a dollar and it works wonderfully, as in REALLY REALLY REALLY bright.

Here is what it did to a pitch black room. taken with a EOS 400D and Tamron 28-200mm If I remember correctly ISO200 F5.6 1/60

any info would be great! I'm really knew to this stuff and I would love to know how to use this or how to rig up some sort of a light spreader or scrim or something.

thanks!

It was designed to be used with Canonet rangefinders from the 70s. I'm not sure if there are any power settings. No swivel head or zoom for sure.

Did you check the voltage? Old flash units can be dangerous to a modern camera.
