My promaster FTD 700m fash won't work with my new 20D. It worked great with my old film rebel. Does anyone know a way I can get it to work w/ the 20D
I appreciate your comments.

If you want to know whether it will damage your camera, take a look at
http://www.botzilla.com/photo/strobeVolts.html

I didn't find a promaster 700 in the list, but there are promaster models that create a trigger voltage of 300V, which might definitely fry your camera.

And even if it worked, it would only be a fully manual flash (you have to manually adjust the flash output on the flash and use manual exposure on the camera). So you might consider looking at a Sigma 500 DG Super for 150$ instead.

Best regards,
Andy
