I like downtown St Pete for many reasons. It is unique among major US cities because it has more residential buildings than commercial. There are more boat slips in the harbors and marinas in the downtown than parking spaces. There are usually plenty of parking spaces because there is usually very little traffic downtown. To support the many residents, there are lots of neat restaurants. Today I had lunch at one of those restaurants for the first time in quite a while, so I broke out the camera and snapped a few. Hope you enjoy them.

This is one of the restaurants, although not where we had lunch. Notice residences above the restaurant/shops.

This little niche between two establishments caught my eye because it was such a serene spot .

The historic Grayl's Hotel with a condo building behind it.

Looking at the front of the historic hotel, another condo building can be seen on the other side.

St Pete has more parks than any city I know of.

The Vinoy Hotel & Resort is fairly historic, too, and top drawer.

I love the Tampa/St. Pete area. So much there to see and do besides the beaches - which of course are beautiful. The colors of your shots are wonderful.

Thanks, Harry. BTW, I was born in Valdosta (about the same time as Doc Holliday).
