the one thing im not too sure about is the blown out BG in #1. and i think unfortunatly it might get a little to tricky to try and do anything about it.

but dont worry too much cos they are both nice shots.

The WB of the first shot looked a little cool to me. I also added a little bit of contrast, saturation and USM. Hope you don't mind.

Cute kid shots. I recommend that you learn to be aware of your surroundings. In the first one, the out-of-focus cup is a distraction. So is the dark overhang behind the subject. In both shots, the background is busy, more so in the second one. With candid shots you don't always have a choice with backgrounds, but be aware of what choices you have. Sometimes just changing the place where you're standing will greatly improve the shot.

Thanks for sharing and no - I don't mind at all. I like what you did, except - is it a bit too dark though?
