Hello all!

I'm new to portrait photography and have been experimenting with my D-60. I've been taking my prints to SAMs b/c they're so dern cheap. I've also had one 11x14 print made at www.ezprints.com.

What I've noticed is that when you enlarge the prints, the color density is washed out. I'm about to send off another 11x14 and am wondering if there is something I can do to keep that from happening?

Also, what are your experiences using online printing companies? Thanks,

Tug

Did you get the reference images from EZprints? If not get those and make sure that the prints match the image on your monitor. You should get perfect results from them if you "calibrate" to their printers.

Not only color, in terms of quality, ezprints is the worst when I compared it with ofoto and photoaccess. I strongly recommend http://www.photoaccess.com/, the best in my experiment.

"Three online printing services that I compared include ezprints, ofoto and photoaccess. My Ofoto prints always had bluish cast on skin and the overall color was not accurate. Ezprints was the worst with less details and sharpness, and noticeable pixel printing. It turned out photoaccess.com to be the winner, the sharpest, with accurate color and most details."

No I didn't. I'll try that to see if it works. Thanks for the input!
