Yeah, I can't say enough good things about the CTR-301P's. I love them. I had the Cactus V2s = crap. Then I modified them a la strobist (http://strobist.blogspot.com/2007/10/detailed-cactus-v2s-mod-page.html), = not terrible, but still frustrating. Then the CTR-301P's = bliss.

I've been debating between CTR-301P and PT-04 IS/GY. I like that the PT-04 uses AAA batteries in the receiver and it is known to be more reliable than other PT-04/Cactus triggers, but CTR-301P seems to be getting a slightly better reputation. I have barely heard anything negative about these, aside from them occasionally being sensitive to weak batteries (read on Strobist discussion board).

I found CR2 batteries at my local dollar store lol, the ones for the CTR-301P's. Batteries are a nonissue, if you want I could mail you one or two if you paid me shipping.

That's a very kind offer. I just happen to have some NiMH AAA's that would be good for the task and I'd like to use those instead oh having to buy disposables. It's not that big a deal... the batteries should last a long time if the units are turned off when not in use.

I like my ctr-301p's also. I haven't had any misfires with mine either.
