Compatable External Flashes

What other Flashes are compatible with the G1.
The Speedlite 220ex, 420ex, and 550ex I know of but don't have the money for right now.
Are there any other good flashes that will work with the G1 that are a little lower in price?
What external Flashes are you guys using?

By upgrading to sw V 1.0.0.2
you can use non-original flashes (same as for canon EOS), but they will fire at full strength.
