First, let me say I have NO web publishing skills. Last year, I launched my site using Homestead.com. The drag and drop tools they offer for designing a site is what appealed to the neophyte in me.
My sites okay . . ., but I really want a more sophisticated look. I created some jpgs reflecting how I'd like my pages to look using Photoshop. I thought I might be able to drop those in as a page sized image, hide all navigation controls behind it, etc., and I'd be on my way.
Nope. For one thing, because browsers view a page like that as a picture, they always bring up those obnoxious save/print/etc. icons.
I hesitate at the tought of moving the site and all the mayhem that must involve. What's the simplest way to go about designing a site with the power of a desktop application that can be easily applied to a web provider like Homestead?
