Hey guys,
What's that canon point and shoot model? Its the one that lots of you guys have, and it has great build quality,
I think its called the G10?
Can someone please clarify that :)
Cheers,
Josh

There is a G10. It shoots in RAW that's why so many people like it. It runs $500+ US.
A good cheapo is the A590IS.

Don't worry, its the G10,
Now what I wanted to see was if anyone could post some 100% crops taken with this little guy,

You would probably be better off asking this in the G-series forum.

Josh - I had a G10 for 2 weeks-- great camera - a bit larger and heavier than a "normal" point and shoot. To me it was a bit heavy - kind of like holding a half brick- but it did not do well in low light-- too much noise for me-- so mine went back.

I don't have one. We use the A590IS for our business. It has a lot of variability of settings. I like using Av. And it does a nice job for what we use it for. The video is really good for such a little p/s. But I couldn't justify the $500 for the G10, that's what I spent on my 30D, and tried out the 590 before bying it.

I have one. Really depends on what you'll be shooting and you haven't said.

Click here (http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ProductCatIndexAct&fcategoryid=113) to go to Canon's USA website and view the full line of Canon point and shoot cameras. The G10 is the current top of the line with several other offerings.
The G10 is not a shirt pocket camera. Jacket pocket or purse, yes. Some people only want a camera that they can carry around without any added bulk. That is not the G10, even as small as it is. But it probably produces the best image quality of any other point and shoot by a large margin. It has controls that make it on par with an SLR.
