Late afternoon light. 40D, 70-200 f/2.8 IS with 1.4 ex-II. 1/125, f/8.0, ISO 400, hand held. Some PP work: sharpening, contrast, curves, exposure, noise reduction, cropped.

Decidedly and frustratingly blurred/soft, and the lighting's a touch harsh, but I like everything else about it: colours, compositions, subject matter. Seems to be a few specific points of interest other than the eye, and I wish I could see & understand them better: that biscuit-looking thing in its mouth beneath the visible eye, the insect, the brighter green at right that seems motioned blurred....
