i'm thinking about purchasing a digital rebel here soon, and was wondering if anyone could post some of their best pics they've gotten with the kit lens (18-55mm).
i wanna see what this camera can do.
thanks so much!

Check out my site...the picture of the crayola crayons (full color at the bottom of the page) was taken with the kit lense. The camera is sick!!! It's a must have for someone into taking flix.
I also have the Sigma 70-300 lense. It compliments the kit lense perfectly.

This was taken with the kit lens and was only cropped and auto-leveled in PS. I think this is the only one that I have hosted from the kit lens. I'll look, but I usually don't post many pictures..

The lens is good above f8, & where will you get an 18mm lens for under $100?

Thanks Rob.
For what it costs, the kit lens can produce some good pics.

They can bash that kit lens all they want, but I think it takes great pics.

Hey, Jon!
Hey back at ya! And while we're at it, what area are you in? I'guessing you might be kind of close. We're in White Lake which is just west of Pontiac about 15 minutes straight out M-59. We do the car shows at Bakers in Milford and the VFW hall on Union Lake road in White Lake (around the corner from our house).

I know it's nowhere near L quality, but I think the kit lens is well worth the money if you're graduating from a p&S camera like I did. :)

Darn! After looking at all these photos I am left to believe that my kit lens must not be as sharp as you folks have it. I can never get the quality of photos from kit as many of them in this thead. I bought mine a year ago, and my retail shop will not exchange it.
Is it my lens or is it me?
