Can the shutter delay on the S200 be improved by certain settings (i.e., no flash, no LCD)? How does the shutter lag on the S200 compare to their other Elph cameras?
I was holding off on buying a digital camera because of one basic problem: the shutter lag. I'm a casual photographer, but I like the occasional action shot. But I just got a Canon PowerShot S200 Elph as a gift. I had just previously been considering the S330 because I read that it had improved the shutter delay significantly. But it was a very nice gift, and don't want to refuse it or ask to get it exchanged. But lemme tell you, getting the perfect shot when the baby is smiling can be tough. I guess shooting in continuous mode is one solution...
I went to the Canon website to see if there were any firmware upgrades, but didn't see any. I hear that Canon tends to stop supporting its products pretty quickly. Is this true? Any chance that I could expect a firmware upgrade that improves response time?
Best wishes,
- Todd
