New here,
Looking to get a wicked memory card for my XSi!!! From what I have gathered the Sandisk Extreme III 8GB (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170324857928&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:us) is the way to go?
Could anyone give me some insight?
Thanks!

Yes but don't buy it on ebay. Counterfeit Sandisk flash memory is rife on ebay.

Well first that card is a CF and not a SD card which the XSI only takes. In less you mean that type of storage. Other wise i have that card and its good.

Great info..
Could someone direct me to a link where to buy and which card exactly is needed for my XSi...
I have heard that Best Buy is not a good place to go?
Thanks in advance!

No need to check ebay. There is $60 rebate if you buy 3 together.

Yes both will work with XSI :) I too have an XSI and bought them recently.
Remember that's Mail in Rebate. So you will need to wait for a while to get your $60 back but I beleive that wait it worth considering the price and 100% genuine card garantee

Note the instructions state the rebate is in the form of a time-limited Visa card, not a check.

You can do a cash advance on those types of cards, and get the cash!!!
I have done it before, but good thinking!

cash advance??? where?
You can take it to a bank and process a cash advance, much like a cash advance off of a credit card...
No fees!! Just cold hard cash!!

You are sure you did that on the Sandisk Rebate Credit card? The instruction on mine said no cash advance and you pay $1 out of it to use it.
I used my $70 Rebate on ebay thru paypal and I still pay the processing fees of $1 so I actually got $69 as actual rebate.

Hey,
Just wondering if anyone knows if this rebate is available to Canadian Residents. I have looked on the website but can't find a clear answer. I have also emailed their customer support, but from other customer support email experiences I do not expect my joy from that! Thanks in advance!

I'm a newbie with software alsoEven in RAW you should get around 400 shots on an 8 GB card. Won't handle a whole vacation, but should handle most peoples' daily needs.
