These are 7 shot AEB's taken with the new 1D MkIIn, from a tripod, using the Tokina 12-24. I ran the RAW's through Photomatix, exported as TIF and opened them in CS3, but ended up just resizing. They did not need any other processing, including noise removal or sharpening. I'm impressed with this camera. :)

I like #2 the best, the 1st and 3rd seem like they have a tint or color overlay to em, guess it could just be the overcast sky.

Thanks Wolfden. It actually was pretty dark under the clouds, and early in the morning with some stray sun peeking through the clouds.

they look good, but you got some schmutz on the sensor i think. look at pic on the upper left side.

Thanks. Yeah, I saw that last night. Man, this sensor is hard to keep clean. :)
What I was impressed with though, was the shots directly from the camera did not need any other post processing after Photomatix got down with them, and that is unusual. I attribute that to the 1D MkIIn files and the fast speed of the 7 shot AEB in under a second. I'm still experimenting with this setup, but it sure looks better than what the 40D gave me.

did you use the trial version of photmatix? i am using the trial 3.1 and am debating getting the full version. is there that much more in it? or just no watermarks?

Cyruz, I have been using the full version for a couple of years. This latest version is the best by far, easier to use and does a much better job than the older versions ever did. I thought it was worth the cost and now that we have a forum for HDR, easier to learn it. :)
