using a canon 1Ds with an epson p-2000 wallet

Can anyone tell me if epson plans to rectify its p-2000 reader so i can actually view my raw images from my canon 1ds on the screen....I thought it would do this when i purchased it.

There was a recent software update available on Epson site that removed the 9mb (or whatever it was) limit.
