They look good. Too bad you got obstructed in the second one, but the first and third are great.

Nice candids. Was the guy in the first shot singing?
The bokeh in the third shot is great, and so is the portrait! :D

Very nice stuff. Candids are tough and I think you did an excellent job. Don't know what to make of that last one but it's a great picture.

Very nice candids, Huckaback! The third looks like Brad Pitt's long lost older brother. :)

Nice pics! I like them all. The second pic works for me - I think the shallow DOF succeeded in defining your subject.

Thankyou all for your comments.
Vetteography.
I often shoot in this way with something way out of focus in foreground and a clear shot of the same, i liked this version better this time.

Ballen.
may well have been singing whilst playing a violin.

Steve Parr re. funny hat.
he was in a group playing Medieval instuments & dressed in that period costume

I just love the candid approach, its my thing.
Studio work does not do it for me, but I can appreciate studio style shots.

Bottom Bracket.
Shallow depth of field done in camera takes some beating I think. Thanks

Thanks 200 L f 2.8 works every time.
always a great temptation to use a zoom but theres just something about a fixed focal length lens
of that quallity.
In my days of using Olympus system I owned 13 fixed focal length lenses and no zooms,
however the Canon L zooms really are good quallity and of course convenient.
( Did I mention EXPENSIVE )

Very nice :D

I still like the first picture best, with the last of the second batch one a close second.

Best regards,

Cheers Andy
The event these were taken at was last year a town in Gloucestershire called Newent,
they have a annual Onion fayre, lots of characters about, bands, Morris dancing etc.
also a competition against the clock to see who can eat a raw onion the quickest, I tell you some interesting faces there, complete with tears in the eyes.
also during the day they sell 12 Tons of Onions, only a small town but this attracts 12,000 visitors for this event,

Cheers
