This bridge is situated just outside Keswick (Cumbria, England). Used to be a railway bridge but when Dr Beeching has it away with the railways 40 years ago it stopped seeing trains!

I gave one of them the full treatment - can you guess which? :D

Looks like a small version of the coathanger that crosses Sydney harbour :-).
Shame that it now longer sees any rail traffic. :-(
Nice pics !

Great shot Damion, It's really a shame it no longer sees train traffic. :( Good that it is still standing though, looks to be in pretty good shape. :)

Thanks.

Steve - I like the idea that this may be the Sydney harbour bridge's baby brother! :)

Sandy - it has had a new wooden walkway laid and is now used as part of a footpath. So it still has 'friends' :)

Sixshot - thanks. I think the exposure was 2 seconds. While I was under there I kept hearing people walking and jogging across - sort of spooky in a way.

RPLS - cheers!

Peter - next time you are there just look for the Keswick footpath to Penrith. Just about a mile out of town.

Very nice shots,

though I think your lens has a vignetting issue in the first picture.
Buy a cheap wide angle lens, did you

Best regards,
Andy

No vignetting at all. Just photoshoped, right ? But I guess it would be nice enough without that second shaddow layer too.

For the second one, long exposure give indeed a interesting effect to that water. Anyway it seems you've boosted a little to hard green channel.

Yeah I was just playing with different effects. I was actually working through a new book with different CS techniques and just came up with that.

Thanks for looking.

"The Photoshop Book for digital photographers" ? If not, give it a try too. It is interesting.

Scott Kelby's Photoshop CS book. Can't remember what it is called.
