Thanks everybody!

Wonderfull!! i love all them. what equipment and settings?

Rebel XT w/ Sigma 17-70 & Canon 55-250, finished in Lightroom 2. Setting were usually about ISO 100, 6-10 seconds @ F/6.3-8.

The real trick was nailing the weather and the timing.

Thankyou, well you did a dam good job with them! This just proves you don't need a 1500.00 16-35 lens lets say to get results like that. i would thought that was L quality.

I've really started playing with my post processing. I've always been a very straight processor... a "what-you-see-is-what-you-get" kind of guy. It's been interesting... I'm going to keep at it.

Great two series of shots. You have some real nice night shots. I like the 3 and 4th in the most recent series.

Nice! I was born there but moved when I was 9 months old, so it's interesting to see what Rochester looks like. :D

Very nice shots indeed. Quick question, how do you get the effects from pic 3 in the latest series? I assume its done in PP, just not sure whats done and what the effect is even called?

It is a Lightroom preset known as "Dark Horse 1."

I got it here: http://www.presetsheaven.com/2008/09/09/dark-horse-1-is-also-a-free-preset-for-lightroom/

I'm not typically one to use presets/unusual PP, but I'm trying to get out of my comfort zone.

Thanks again!
