Me too! I've been wanting one of these for a long time, just never got around to getting one, and now they're getting pretty scarce. Nice shots. :D

I've owned one. Slowest vehicle on the face of the earth. They made them campers because anywhere you went took at least two days.
Sorry, forgot my manners. Nice photos. Good perspective on them.

Thanks guys :)
Titus these vw's are anything but slow though, alot of them are part of a club called Busses With Attitude. The fashion at the minute is to leave the body as rusty as it comes but upgrade the brakes, suspension and most importantly the engine. You can't get in the club until your bus has run less than 16 seconds on the drag strip, which is pretty fast for a brick on wheels!
Here's another photo, this pick-up is called the Slam-O-Matic...

Those Kombis are just way cool. Great capture! How did you manage the high vantage point?

Forgive me for being somewhat off topic, but I took this shot out my hotel window with a 500mm lens. There are a lot of air-cooled VWs in it, but only one bus (and a relatively new one at that).

Continuing a little of topic...
That little red wrekked car, at the right of the silver BMW 318 and to the left of the light pole, seems to be a vw, Karmman Ghia, thats a great car for a restoration proyect! May be it isnt, but it looks like.
And for the pictures, I think they are just fine! Nice "combis" thats the name in México of that VW little buses, there are slow, but they are very practical for travel. And they are a good icon of the 70s I think.
Cheers.
