Trial images

Hi guys, I could finally convince Rebecca ( a co-worker) to pose for me, and we went to a little park near the office to shoot a trial run.
Everyday I feel more the limitations of the kit lens , anyways the new ones are on the way...

What do you think?

Nice shots Freddycr. She is BEAUTIFUL. Man If I did something like that, my wife would have my hide. Hey honey, I'm gonna take the waitress and have them pose for me.....I could hear the screaming start...stuff being thrown.....bank accounts being frozen...

Oh love them all, but the last one is SMOKING!

Great shots.. the last one would also be my favorite! Lucky my fiance does not get into photography,he is quite bored with my hobby, and i would kick his ass if he done shots like this hahaha.Hmm wonder if i could find a hot male model who would pose for me like this! lol

BTW...Only in 1 and 3 I didn't use the fill flash .

Nice photo's and she does look nice and relaxed. One coment I have is that you might have opened up a bit more to get the back ground more out of blured as in some of the shots I think it is a bit distracting. Mainly the shots with the buildings in the background. That way also you put more attention on your subject. Just take on things. Still look forward to seeing more soon.

You are so right...about the BG .... about needing a god bokeh...etc
Oh well...I realized all these things, just as I was putting the cam back in the bag, after the whole 20 mins. of shooting !!!
Nothing is wasted if you learn something from it !!

Yea, these shots are primative, but it's your first try, and your using a crappy lens, crappy flash, so I think you actually did quite well! My favorite would be the last one, but her arm is bothering me. I think you should maybe put it through PS and make her arm slightly trimmer or something. Beautiful girl though, keep up the good work. I hope to see some stunning portraits from you sometime in the near future. And wow, those lenses of yours are taking a while to get to you huh? Is it just the shipping or something because you live in CR?

They don't come to costa rica direct, I gotta have a pickup service who brings them from a drop-mail ddress in MIA, and then I have to clear the customs here !!!

Everyday I feel more the limitations of the kit lens...

And one of the biggest is the lack of bokeh, that's where a 2.8 would be handy. Shoot wide open and blur those distracting backgrounds.

notwithstanding any of the previous posts, I enjoyed viewing and the last shot is the best for me evan with the background clutter, tilting stone and cut off foot, great model and you have nice results

She has nice legs & I liked the skirt. I did think that the black top did nothing for her though. Maybe something a bit better fitting next time.

Your assistant is a pretty girl, she seems natural in front of the camera and manages to look pretty seductive. What did you tell her?

On some of the images, though, her legs look a little prominent, like you are too close to her. Not that her legs were bad, but IMO the perspective distorts them a bit. I like the last one best.

Do tell your assistant that the forum is raving about her and that we are eager for the next pictures.

What new lens did you order?
If you didn't order the 50/1.8, you might consider just picking it up at any major photography shop in Costa Rica.
