Here are two more waterfalls visited this week in NC. Don't worry, I won't post them all.

WHere in NC? I want to visit! Great shots, I just love the flowing water feel that the longer exposure gives.

Looks like extremely beautiful country. Great job on the captures. Number 1 is my fav. was that done with your 10-22?

Thanks, fellas. The first is Mingo Falls near Cherokee, NC. The other is Dry Falls, named that because you can walk behind it and stay dry. It is located on Route 64 near Highlands, NC. Both shots were taken with the 10-22. Mingo Falls is 200 feet high and a bridge is the only vantage point. To get it all in with a 1.6 sensor rquired a 13 mm focal length. Another guy there with a 24-70 on a 20D was frustrated because he couldn't get it all. At Dry Falls, vantage point is limited by a walkway and fence, so I used the 10-22 to get a very large scene, then cropped it severely. So, I can't say what true focal lenghth was needed for it.
This is definitely a beautiful area, with tons of waterfalls and great hiking. My BIL just bought two lots here to build a summer home.

Very nice shots, Stan. Hope some of our Colorado waterfalls are in good shape for you when you come out in June. The water situation is looking better than it has since 1997.

The colors look like they could use some saturation to them. Great shots.

Thanks for the comments.
Richard, retirement is the answer. I recommend it highly.
Dave, C'mon over. I need a hiking partner to get to some of these waterfalls.
Mark, I keep watching the weather in CO. I'm glad to see things are looking better for water this year, but I'm beginning to worry that some of the passes won't be open when I get there. Oh well.
Mike, I'm sure you're right about the saturation. My laptop LCD screen isn't as bright as a CRT, so I usually am concerned about over-saturation. Maybe I should step it up.
