I should leave more room in from of the bike. :)
I still think this works well though. What do you think?

It would have worked better with two bikes in shot.

Of course yes, And maybe the space shuttle taking off in the background .........................................
That is a GREAT shot!

I think it looks good tucked over there on the left, it makes it look like its racing past :)
I might be tempted to clone out that tiny tuft of grass though.

You obviously haven't taken the time to look at Stuart's website or the other shots he's posted on here to realise that he's more than capable of getting two bikes in shot.
His standards are extremely high.
As for the space shuttle that would just be a distraction.

Yeah fair point about the space shuttle ..........................

I think the shot works really well. It is nice to see a photo of a tracked bike with "dead" space at the rear. It is just something different and works well.

Thanks for the CC, I got rid of the grass in the second one I posted and I think it is better.

Cracking image and glad you took away the piece of grass in the edited version. For me the image is great with just the one bike tho.

Thanks, I think I like it better with one bike as well. I just like the colors in the one with one bike better.

Great work - cool angle - great framing - even the hill in the background plays its part.
The 1st looks a little over processed - but yummie none the less

I prefer the processing in this one but not the riders style compared to the first one, if you see what I mean.
However two riders in shot does look more like a race imo.
As someone else has already said the tone mapping in the first one is a little ott and has produced a halo effect around the rider in the sky.
Having said all that you do have some wonderful shots on your web site. :D

Yeah, those two riders were a little further back in the pack...
Thanks for the cc Swiss Toni, and I'm glad you like my site.
I can do better on the processing on that first one. I did it kinda quick just after I got home from the races.I should spent a little more time before I post stuff up, presentation is everything after all. :)

I think also that just one rider is better, and yes more room in front would be better! Nice work!

Love these shots! Body position is more fun in the first, love the two bikes at that angle also though.

I don't mind the "reverse framing" so much as I do the halo around the subject. Helluva image otherwise...
Of course yes, And maybe the space shuttle taking off in the background .........................................
That is a GREAT shot!
Maybe the OP could "donate" this shot to the "Photoshop Tennis" thread. I bet someone over there could add a Shuttle launch (and a dinosaur, Elvis, Poppa Smurf, A Shark, Spiderman...) ;)

OK, I re-processed the first one to get rid of the halo and the grass. This version is has much less processing...

All the talk about the space shuttle is kinda funny, Willow is very close to Edwards Air Bas and that is where they land the shuttle somtimes. Maybe I can get a shot with the shuttle comming in one day :) LOL

I prefer the 1st edit, Halo included, The last edit feels a little under saturated to me. That said I'm in no position to judge, I'd have been happy to have one of my shots come out either way!
I made the comment about the shuttle as I sometimes get a bit fed up with peoples comments that aren't constructive about that particular image. The Image posted had one bike in it, Not 2 or 3 or 20. The shot creates an atmosphere that lends itself to only one bike and thats what I love about it. Saying it should have this or that in the shot is pointless because it is what it is, A great shot with one bike.
(I've put my soap box away now:rolleyes:)
