We didn't actually go to the airshow this year, we parked for a couple of hours Kimball, the street across the runway from the airshow seating.

It was a nice little bit to hold me off until Miramar in October.

The C-17 was the only aircraft to get close enough for my 70-200.

Very nice! I see he/she was trying for a really sharp turn, a good amount of rudder in the 2nd shot.

Oh yeah I didn't notice that. It was the end of a really tight turn.

I had to leave before the c 17 and thunderbolt went up on Sunday. It was just to hot i ended up getting sun sick, along with half my group. Thanks for the shots its was a heck of a show. Where were you sitting?

Across the runway from the airshow seating on Kimball Street on the back of an SUV. We didn't actually go to the airshow, my in-laws live around the corner so we went to visit and took a couple of hours out to see the show.
