One of the best single-seater championships in the UK. These boys are fast, very fast. Here are some samples from todays qualifying. Posts of tomorrows races and other racing, such as the VW Cup, Ferraris and T-Cars to follow.

I probably haven't used the word love this much since I was first dating my wife, but I do love these shots. The motor sports shots on this forum are just fabulous!

Great shots as usual Ken.

If you don't mind, what did you use for the first shot? Exif says 600mm. Was that the 300/2.8 with 2x extender? If so, WOW!!

Yes I used the 2X. In order from the top: 2xTC, 1.4TC and no TC.

and they say the 2xTC provides horrible soft shots....

Hm...the FPA championship is the one way I dreamed of getting into F1, do they still do the pay £15k a year and you get a full season in one of the cars and the use of their mechanics etc.?

Awesome shots as always. The light was good too, no?....the shadows and dof on that last shot are just perfect. Looks almost 3D.

Yes guys, these were taken at Oulton Park on Saturday, the first day of a two day meeting. Keep an eye on the posts for some more, including an almost airborne Palmer Audi that slammed into the barrier near to me. I was in the 'right places' today for some really good shots.

Ken - Fantastic shots, which i can only aspire to at the moment more practice for me.

A bit off topic but which lens would you recommend 300f2.8isL with converters or 500f4isL as i can only afford 1 of them to partner my 1ds 70-200f2.8isL
