So I got my Rebel EOS on Thursday and have been shooting away. Never really got into photography until recently lurking on these forums. These are 2 shots I took with 3 exposures. I know they're not perfect some tips are welcomed. Thanks.

I do not really like the composition in the photos - does not really do them justice. The first photo might have been better if shot in portrait layout and barn on bottom with sky in top -- dunno.

I am by no means an expert, but they look blown out. I would invest in a UV filter for your lens, it will help and watch your exposures carefully, also check your white balance and ISO settings...when I first got mine I shot away and was sooo excited that I never checked the settings... Keep it up!!
