Motivation for a Portrait of a 50 Year Old Bicycle Finatic

Sorry about the spelling as I think it's fanatic...

So a long time friend has approached me because he is getting ready to turn 50 next month and would like a portrait that truly reflects a passion he has had since his teenage years.

He would like the portrait to be of him being the subject while including his bicycle in the shot as well. He would also like his long time female riding partner to be included since she has also been an important part of his life.

What ideas do you think would work that would make this worthy of a 50th birthday rememberance?

There are lots of possibilities. The first fun shot that came to mind would be a panning shot of them both on a mountain road. Another with the posing in front of their bikes of course. They most likely have racks on their car so perhaps a shot with them in front of the car with bikes mounted. Remember to have fun!
