I went out and found some morel mushrooms today. I took this picture of a nice bunch all growing together.

I've never seen shrooms like those, very wierd at least here in S. Calif. Neat pic!

Looks like a true Morel ( Morchella esculenta) or ( Morechella deliciosa ) which are edible; however, there are false morels which can be toxic and can be confused with the true morels. The chance of error is great. Be Careful !!

Yea, never would have thought of those as mush rooms. Don't look anything like a mushroom.
