I am not sure what do do. I am trying to figure out what the difference is between elements 7 and cs4. I have trials of both and I do not see differences

I can bid on that with a risk because it says no returns or I can buy Elements for $90

HUGE difference between Elements and PS CS4 --- if you do not use photoshop now -- it might be a HUGE learning curve.
One big problem I see is if they "tested" it as the auction says -- then they registered it-- meaning you can't re-register it -- am I correct here gang?

If that is the case, I would like to see the price come down, fat chance of that happening:rolleyes:

Elements will have more than enough tools for the average photographer.

Functional condition: This is brand new since it was shrink wrapped when I acquired it and I am selling it as-is. Tested, everything works (including updates), but I did not try to register the software so I do not know the condition of this feature

He did not register it. I basically just emailed him back because he would not send me the serial and I told him if it was pirated he would be responsible for it. If I do not win this, (I will not bid more than $80) I am just going to buy Elements. It will be ok for me until I get into more advanced photography/editing :)

I am confused --- is this your auction?

Because in order to get updates you have to install the software in your computer -- register it and then you will receive updates. If you do not register it -- you will not get updates -- they are downloaded from the Adobe site when you register.

To me - it sounds like a scam....? If it was shrink wrapped when he acquired it - why in the world would he open it to "test" it?!?!?!?!?! He would be able to get sooooo much more $$ for it if it was shrink wrapped. Just my opinion.

I agree also. And no it is not my auction, I just got an email back, I will not be bidding on this.

He said to me:
I am not responsible for anything. Please read the auction carefully: selling as-is, no refund. I have described the item as accurately as I can. Buying and accepting the item as-is is the agreement you make when placing the bid.

Again, read the auction. I have installed it using the serial number provided, and selected "updates" from the menu option. The program then proceeded to download all necessary updates. The only thing is that I did not register the software because then it would be registered under my name. I therefore do not know the functionality of this "registration" feature and make no guarantee for it.

I called eBay and they told me I cannot bid on it and they are removing it. At least someone is saved from buying a cd basically :)

does seven come with bridge? I upped to cs4 from elements six, really like bridge alot for showing people their shots and sorting in the review mode. I used to use canons zoombrowser, bridge is much much better, and cs4 is worlds apart from elements six.

Honestly, I do not even know what bridge is :(
