I've recently bought this bit of kit and I've got a problem that hopefully some can help with ! When I put my Lexar cf card in and try browsing the photos only a few are viewable, i get the message that the photo cannot be displayed it may be corrupted or unsupported, and when I click on the photos I can see they show up fragmented
Now when I put these photos direct from the camera to laptop they all open up and display correctly.
Would this be a memory card issue or have i bought a dud P2000?
Any help/advice appreciated

Which camera, which specific Lexar card, and are you shooting RAW?

Firmware version on the Epson? IIRC they have had a couple of versions. You might have an older version or a corrupt one and be able to re-image it. Do you have any other cards you could try? Have you tried reformatting the card in either your computer or the Epson and then using it?

The firmware is the newest version on the epson site v02.51 the cards work fine when i upload directly to the laptop from the camera and never had an issue with them before, equally i've taken photos off the laptop and put them on the epson and they work fine even though they are from the same cards. I've just ordered a couple of sandisk cards just in case it is a card issue though

So this is happening with all your cards? Doesn't sound good for the Epson then, though I suppose it could be that the cards are borderline and your computer's got better fault tolerance built into it than ythe Epson does (but that would mean that so does the camera). Got access to someone else's camera you could try your cards in?

I've only got the two Lexar cards and never had this problem before they work fine when i plug them into the printer too(also epson), I think I'll just wait til I get the sandisk cards and see what happens then, unless I get a miracle before then ! I can see a repair bill coming my way for the epson but I'm keeping my fingers crossed! thanks for the help !

Back when I had my P2000 I would occasionally get fragmented photos -- it only occurred when transferring the images to a Windows PC, and never to my Mac. Turns out it was the USB cable, although I'm not sure why it only affected the PC.

Glad to hear you got your problem sorted though.
