My fiance and I are currently looking for photography services to shoot our wedding in the German town of Frankenmuth, MI on November 21st, this year.

In my case, I am just fine with skipping a lot of the traditional photographer-client experience, meaning presentation, printing, DVD slide shows, album design and delivery, etc. I'm used to doing these things myself and I already have a vendor for albums and WHCC for a lab.

In an optimal situation, I'd just pay labor for some nice shots and the rights to print them and keep them. As a lot of you know, times are changing and a lot of photographers are okay with giving their client full resolution pictures for their record. If you keep a tight grip on full resolution pictures and rights to them, you need not apply because this is not what I am looking for. If you must not give out RAW and only your own post-processed JPEGs (after all, it is your reputation on the line and I am very respectful of that), I understand where you are coming from.

The wedding and reception are at the same location in a hotel type setting. Lighting should be okay in the indoor area (daylight-hours poolside wedding near a wall of floor to ceiling windows). It is Michigan so I'd bet on an overcast day. This is a 70's era German-styled hotel, so the reception area will probably be low incandescent light and dark wood accents. You'd need to be big on some kind of flash other than an on-camera deal. Pictures would be done outside, weather permitting. The bride would probably want pictures in the morning of hair, dress, shoes, etc. I also wouldn't mind some shots of the guys hanging out. The total amount of time needed has not been decided yet since we do not know the schedule yet. I'm thinking 8 hours coverage.

I wish I could take the pictures myself if I could escape my body, but as long as I do not possess these special powers, I need to hire it done.

If you have some great Canon gear equivalent to mine or better, whether you are a working pro or a hobbyist with talent and commitment, please let me know if you'd be interested in something like this. I even have fully insured equipment to lend if I have a lens that you don't have but would like to use.

I'd need to see your production and some sample shots. I don't have a price in mind per se; it really depends on who you are and the quality of your work. As an example, tomorrow I am meeting with a person who would be willing to do a custom package as I am requesting for $2000.00, negotiable. It doesn't mean I want to spend that much, and it doesn't mean that two grand is the upper limit. I'm open to a lot of stuff.

You may PM me or give me your website link below. Look forward to hearing from some fellow photographers.

To everyone who PM'd me, thank you for your interest and prompt responses. In just 21 short hours I have had an overwhelming number of responses, so bare with me while I spend time at each of your websites. No one is short on talent, that is for sure. I have a couple of local interviews scheduled, but the offer is going to be open for a while as to not make any quick/rash decisions. Ironic how hard it is to be a photographer hobbyist trying to choose a photographer!
