Its SO easy on a little thing called a Knifty Knitter. Its a package for 4 sized round "looms" they are circles with prongs on them. I use the largest size for the cocoon. Its usually a mustard yellow color, and the small blue one for the hat. There are so many tutorials on You tube.

Hey i'm a guy, knitting would just never be easy i'd end up with a pair of flashdance style leg warmers or something haha
