Just kidding. It's a decent shot. The whites are pretty hot tho. Try toning it down a little, and you'd have a winner.

I really like the reflections in the water. Good stuff.

For these birds you often need to set EV down a bit... do check your histogram or review the image for flashing overexposed areas. I'd play with the whitebalance - seems a bit red in the background at top, but then I'm in a net cafe and can't trust the monitor. Cheers, Tony

Although it's a nice close-up I would prefer to see a little more of the environment and shot at a lower level. Technically, the white is blown out and not sure if you can recover it. It looks like the bird is slightly OOF and the focus is on the reeds behind.

I like the subject and would head back, wait it out and have another go.

Agree, and also with Tony about the color being red.
