Interesting read, thanks. I don't know if the ones in my yard recognize me but they sure don't like me when they have fledglings nearby. I've been popped on the head good a couple times. I've seen them assault a domestic cat just for walking by.

Interesting, thanks for sharing. I've never been attacked by a mockingbird (though I have been attacked by a hummingbird LOL), but at work there is a Cooper's Hawk that has been swooping down at me when I'm in the vicinity of it's nest. I think next time I'm near it's nest I will be wearing a hard hat, haha.
