Unsure what this bird is..

Im not sure what this bird type is. I took the photo at Perth Zoo today. Comments welcome as always.

I don't know. Where did you take the photo? On the leg I see a green band. I like the photo. Nice and clean.

I noticed where you took the photograph, now. I read the caption at the top of the picture. I was engrossed in the picture that I didn’t really read the caption.



I knew that it must have been in captivity because of the band on the bird’s leg.



I work at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas Nevada (U.S) and our birds are banded. That’s how I knew that the bird was in some kind of zoo.

Im not sure what this bird type is. Pretty bird, but I'll bet it has fish breath! ;-)

Beautifull Heron..
..looks a little like the Night Herons we have in the States.. but clearly a differnet bird all together. (being Autralian and all ;) )

What I do when ever possible, if there is a sign telling what it is I just take a close-up of it, sure saves a lot of writing. :lol: :lol:
