Hey all,
I will be going on a trip to Bali.. and I'm debating if I should buy an underwater housing unit for my SD880 IS. Since an underwater housing for my 5D II is out of the question... For those of you with experience with underwater housings...
1) will i get $170 worth of images?
2) how is the resale value?
3) anything else to consider?
Thanks!

1. Definitely. Video as well
2. Excellent. Sold mine for what I paid for it. I keep everything though, even the little tags lol.
3. Be ruthless, like rainman ruthless, in keeping that o-ring clean. Use a little bit of the lube that it comes with it. Open the case as few times as possible. When I did I ran my finger over the o-ring, making sure it didn't even have a small piece of lint or an eyelash between it and case.
Yep, ruthless.
Water quality will determine what type of pics you'll be able to capture. I ran my SD870 at ISO400 to force a faster shutter speed just to catch fish and stuff.
I reasoned that the cloudiness in the water and proper exposure would limit the noise effect. I'd say I was somewhat successful.

It should be just like the housing for the SD870 where the "lens" on the housing has anti-reflective coating inside and out.
