After the cathedral shots (see other thread) we went a wandering around and outside of the tourist front face things were the typical non-tourist area falling apart, grabbed a few shots, comments and thoughts appreciated.

Love the first shot.

Cheers SubliM3.

When I shot it I was worried about the bin at the bottom of the stairs after my wife potined it out but after processing it actually works and balances the door I think.

Selective coloring isn't cool.

Selective coloring isn't cool.

I'd be the first to agree that it's been overdone in a lot of areas, and is getting tacking and "uncool" but are you saying here that you do not like the images because of the selective desaturation or that you don't like the images full stop, or was it just a general "that style sucks" comment?

If it's just that you don't like it because of the green then I'll pop out a couple of pure mono versions later and see if you find they work better.

Anyone else thinking along the same lines? I thought the green worked quite well myself, more in the first image than the third, but am I blinded?

I actually think that the selective coloring works well in pictures 1 and 3, but that is my personal preference.
