Kids day is always loud but you have to go to get 9 innings of daylight - try a DH kids day and you'll want to start beating them off with your monopod as they hang over screaming for a ball like they do now. The kids are often very rude in how they ask nowadays, it's why I pick a kid every couple innings if a ball comes into the pit I give it to the one acting RIGHT instead of the obnoxious ones. Every kid thinks they DESERVE and are REQUIRED to get a ball cuz they went to the game!
Nice shots, but I already saw them once, ha...

Mike,
Yeah that is my feelings. I mean I had a few even ask me to get them a ball, not please try to get them lol I turned around and just shook my head.
One lady asked the away teams bench player if she gave him a ball could he give it to Jeff S (pitcher) to sign lol
I was like lady they are in the middle of a game
Thanks a lot Dennis

Great looking pictures. Locally for our independant team it never amazes me the amount of rude kids there are here looking to get a ball and most of the time now thye are asking for bats LOL.
What gets me even more is around our visitors bullpen. The first 2 rows are like a daycare center. The parents bring their kids to the game and basically leave them to do what they want and bug all the players. OUTSTANDING parenting skills!

Shark? Is that Jeff Samardzija?
Yes it is.
When I a ball is hit in the photo well almost everybody around tries to get me to flip it to them, I always look for the youngest kid and toss it to them.

Chris,
I would do the same thing to be honest.
How long was Jeff up in the majors?

He was up and down a couple of times last year, started this season here and was struggling a little.
From ST this year.

Ahhh is that a split finger fast ball or a fork ball? I have a few pictures with him holding it just like that.
Do guys even throw fork balls anymore?
I also believe he should have stuck with football :)

There SHOULD be a sign at the ends of the dugout, and behind them stating that players can not sign autographs during the game (they get fined) or give out balls. A few stadiums used to do it and it worked great, but it seems every stadium pulled them for some reason.
Kids are definitely ruder now about it and ask for everything...bats, gloves, baseballs, cleats, it's stupid. Up until the strike of '94 I believe the players were told NOT to throw the ball into the crowd. The strike meant trying to reach out to fans so it was now OK to do it. Least that's what the Mets broadcasters discussed one game.
Matt - he throws a 4 seam, 2 seam, split finger, slider, and 3 finger change.

So what would this one be?

And I am assuming this is his split finger?

The first one is a knuckle-curve, and you are correct on the second one, it is his spilt finger.
