Hi folks, I am looking for a small and compact external flashgun. I'm am planning to travel to Northern Italy in June. I currently use the 420ex which is great but its size & weight are too bulky to pack along as my trip will involve bicycle touring. I have zeroed in on the 220ex or the Metz 34 AF-3 (with a lean toward the Metz) but does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

I'd use the 220EX, as it's a tough, relatively powerful flash and integrates perfectly with the G6.

Thanks SBG, I'm gonna go with the 220EX. It looks like it fits the bill and is less expensive to boot. I'll use the $$ saved for other goodies for my G6. :)

The goodies never end for the G6 - I have the lens hood, thread adapter, 220 EX and the 550EX (used on the G6 and my EOS A2 film cams), extra 512 MB CF card, extra BP-511A. I'm considering the purchase of the WA converter, now.

Happy bank account.
