So....here goes....first post.....been lurking for a while :) but learnt so much...thanks to all.

Anyway, I never figured my first would be of flowers...

Out in the yard the other day, just before the sun went down....testing the recently cleaned/calibrated 70-200 2.8, dropped to a knee and snapped away....sat down that night to look at the results and for some reason really liked this one....the title just felt right.

Cropped and sharpened only (don't know how to do too much else :)).

Figured I would throw it into 'critique' to start...brave or foolish?

Given the theme, I think it would work better as a vertical composition with the two out of focus flowers on the side cropped out. Then sell it to Hallmark.

Very nice. I agree about Hallmark but think the OOF flowers in the background give it context.
