Hello, sorry but I'm a total noob to this resizing thing. I keep trying to resize the photo in photo shop, but it makes it incredibly small. I've never posted one of my own pics on this forum. So, could someone help me out here?

I'm having the same problem. I ended up using a piece of software called ACDsee...resized by percentage and it seems to work just fine.

Are you sure the picture is coming out incredibly small, or is it because after you resize, you are still looking at it at like 16% of the full size? After you resize, to say 800 pixels wide (height should be recalculated automatically if you have "constrain proportions" selected), click View/Actual pixels so the image is displayed at 100% size.

I don't have photoshop, but another easy way to resize pictures is using a windows xp power toy (if you're running windows xp). Just search the Microsoft site for win xp power toys and download the image resizer. Then all you do is right click on the image, select resize and it gives you a few size options.

Here, I even found the link for you:

It's the one called Image Resizer

Someone mentioned ACDSee and there is a free application out thre called IRFANVIEW that allows you to do stuff like that.
