i am no expert but I will give my opinions anyway. These are the lights i ordered http://www.jensenbest.com/product_p/2322.htm.
The company was very easy to work with. Everything was on time and delivered on time. I would have liked to see it packaged a little better. Came with two stobers with umbrellas, background light some gels a radio trigger.
The strobes power can be adjusted from 1/16 to full. They both have modeling lamps. One is a shoot thru umbrella and the other is a reflector. They do have sync cords wich did not fit my XS. The background light is activated when the strobes go off. They all seem to have more than enough power. They have a very fast in my opinion recharge time. About 1s. The umbrellas dont seem to be super secure on the lights but dont fall out either. The stands seem average the extend to probably around 7 ft and when at lowest level about two feet. They seem very easy to operate. The one thing about the background light is the intensity is not adjustable. the strobes themselves seem to be well built. It came with large rolling bag for transport. I would say for use as a portable or home studio they are very worth the money. I would buy more. If you have any questions dont hesitate to ask.
here is a link to my first pictures. Remember they are not professional http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=696934
