Maybe the small size but the eyes don't look pin sharp.

I like em. I think the first one appears "off" becuase i know for me the red in the backgrud and the red in her collar keeps pulling my eyes back and forth.

Thanks all, I did check my focal point, 1st photo was her left eye, 2nd photo was his lips and the last photo was her right eye brow. These were hand held with my 70-200, I'll try again with a tripod and maybe bump the aperture up a bit (was at 4.0). The red flowers in the background in the first photo is distracting so I will also change my location. The pic below, well, it wasn't thier parents favorite but the kids were having fun. I've been practicing off camera flash, below are a couple of the neighbors kids. Other than cropping these are straight out of the camera. (My kids got tired of me taking pics of them) C&C welcomed. Rod

love the pictures! Can you share your settings on camera and on the flash? :D i have a little photoshoot on monday of my two nephews and i want to step up on my pictures of off camera flash. If you dont mind sharing, where you put the flashes, how many and settings? if not its totally fine.

love the pictures! Can you share your settings on camera and on the flash? :D i have a little photoshoot on monday of my two nephews and i want to step up on my pictures of off camera flash. If you dont mind sharing, where you put the flashes, how many and settings? if not its totally fine.

ISO: 200 Aperture: 4 Shutter Speed: 1/180. I metered off the kids face and then step down 2 stops. Flash was set up on my tripod about 4 feet away on their right and above them at a 45 degree angle. Flash was triggered with speedlite ST-E2 transmitter, flash was at full power with a LumiQuest Softbox.
